Same plan technically; we recommend separate accounts for separate purposes. Mixing transactional mail (password resets, receipts) and cold outreach on the same IP risks deliverability of the transactional mail if the cold outreach causes any reputation damage. Two SMTP-1k plans are usually the right answer.

Cold IP to full volume: 4-6 weeks of progressive ramp (10/day → 50 → 200 → 500 → 1k+). Pre-warmed IPs add $15/IP/month and let customers start at volume from day one. Warm-up is optional but skipping it on a cold IP causes early deliverability issues.

Inbox placement is a function of content, list quality, and IP reputation — not just infrastructure. We provide the infrastructure (clean IPs, proper authentication, low-noise IP block); content and list quality remain customer responsibility. Properly-targeted opt-in outreach with good content reaches the inbox reliably from our IPs.

Yes — all major cold-email platforms support custom SMTP. Configuration is standard: hostname, port, username, password. Documentation for each major platform is in our knowledge base.

SMTP-1k: 1 sending domain. SMTP-10k: 5 domains. SMTP-50k: up to 25 domains. Each domain gets its own DKIM key; SPF and DMARC are configured per-domain.

Spamhaus / Barracuda / SORBS listings happen — we monitor major blacklists and offer one IP swap per quarter at no charge. For repeat listings, we work with the customer on campaign hygiene before issuing further swaps.

Marketing email with explicit opt-in (single or double-opt-in for EU recipients): yes, without restriction. Untargeted bulk marketing without consent: prohibited under our AUP and grounds for termination.
